Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to collect a debt?+
An unopposed summary claim can be resolved in a few months; if the other side contests it, it goes to trial. What speeds everything up most is having invoices, delivery notes and messages in order from the start.
Is it worth claiming small amounts?+
Sometimes yes: there are fast-track procedures, and a formal demand from a lawyer settles many unpaid debts without reaching court. I tell you before we start whether the amount justifies the effort, even when the answer is no.
What if the other side has no assets?+
Assets can be investigated before you spend money on litigation. If there is nothing to attach, I tell you plainly and we look for another route instead of selling you a pointless procedure.
